The Abyssinian Sand Terrier

Country of Origin: The Abyssinian Sand Terrier originated in Africa.

Height: Abyssinian Sand Terriers are from 15½-20½in.

Weight: Abyssinian Sand Terriers weigh 21-39 lbs.

Description: The Abyssinian Sand Terrier is almost hairless, except for tufts on its head and tail. They have long slender legs, bat-like ears, a long muzzle, and an arched neck.

Temperament: The Abyssinian Sand Terrier is willing and eager to please. They are affectionate, devoted, and loyal.

Colors: Abyssinian Sand Terriers can be bronze, elephant-gray, grayish-black, black, pale sandy & mottled.

Coat: The Abyssinian Sand Terrier is hairless except for tufts on the skull and the end of the tail. Some dogs are completely hairless. Frequent bathing will dry out the skin, so this breed should only be bathed if necessary.

Health Concerns: The Abyssinian Sand Terrier is generally a healthy breed.

Life Expectancy: The life expectancy for the Abyssinian Sand Terriers  is 12-15 years.

Living Environment: Abyssinian Sand Terriers require a quiet soft bed to snuggle in. They love exercise and require moderate daily activity. This breed makes a good jogging partner.
