RAGAMUFFIN CATS

The RagaMuffin is a large cuddly breed, with a plush, semi-long coat and a warm, friendly disposition. Bred first and foremost for a sweet, laid-back temperament, they are true people-loving cats.

Description

The RagaMuffin is a direct descendant of Josephine, the original Rag-type cat.

There are many colours/patterns available. Solids, Tabbies, Torties, Lynx, Mink, as well as blue-eyed pointed varieties. The coat length varies slightly but in general it is low-maintenance compared to that of other longhaired breeds. They also tend to be soft-pawed,

meaning that they almost never put out their claws. Males average between 15-20 pounds (or more) and females are smaller, between nine-14 pounds. They are a slow maturing breed of cat, in that they don't reach full maturity until three to four years of age.

Characteristics and Temperament

The Ragamuffin is a large lap cat and described as the perfect pet. They socialize well with people, children and other animals.

They are playful, well behaved, loving and can be taught to do tricks. The RagaMuffin is STRICTLY AN INDOOR PET. Their docile nature makes them especially vulnerable

to outside dangers, they tend to think everyone should be their friend! They don't possess the same defense instincts as most other cats do, so they must be kept inside and protected.
